Silver nitrate incompatable with a range of substances like alkalies , antimony salts , arsenites ,  bromides , carbonates , chlorides , iodides , thiocyanates , ferrous salts , hypophosphites , morphine salts , oils , phosphates , tannic acids , tartrates , vegetable decoctions and extracts

Uses
i)                    It Posses as disinfectant , astringent and irritant properties .
ii)                   It is used for prophylaxis of opthalmia .
iii)                 In stick form as a caustic to destroy warts and other skin growths .
iv)                 A 10% solution is used I the treatment of infected ulcer in mouth .
v)                  Silver nitrate solution ( 0.01 – 10% ) prevent               micro organism activity .
vi)                 A 1% silver nitrate ophthalmic solution is employed locally in the eyes of infants for prophylaxis

Side Effect
Adverse effect induce pain in the mouth , sialorrhoea , diaarrhoea , vomiting , coma and convulsions

It is stored in air tight non-metallic container and protected from light
