6	Uses	i)                    It is used as topical protectant . ii)                   It has a mild astringent action on thhe skin . iii)                 It is used as a dusting powder , cream , lotion or ointment in a variety of skin condition including urticaria , eczema and the effect of sunburn . iv)                 Phenolated calamine lotion contain phenol ( 2% ) which is used as a local anaesthetic and antipyretic .
