i)
It is used as adsorbent .
ii)
When given by mouth , it absorb toxic and other
substances from the alimentary tract and in crease the bulk of the faeces .
iii)
It is employed in the symptomatic treatment of
diarrhea and to coat irritated intestinal mucosa in case of diarrhea and
dysentery and intestinal fermentation .
iv)
Heavy kaolin is used in the preparation of kaolin
poultice which is applied with intention of reducing inflammation and
alleviating pain .
