Incompatibility
It is incompatible with gums , alkaloidal salts , zinc sulphate , mineral acids and metallic salts .

Uses
i)                    It is used as pharmaceutical aid
ii)                   It is used as antiseptic .
iii)                 It is used as detergent.
iv)                 It is used as astringent for mucous membrane  .
v)                  It is used externally in 1 1 to 2% solution as an eye wash and as a wet dressing for wounds

Side Effect
Ingestion of Borax can cause severe vomiting , diarrhoea , shock and death
